What is a Notified Body?

An organisation designated by an EU member state, or a country with a mutual agreement such as Türkiye, to assess the conformity of products before they are placed on the market. Its four-digit number appears next to the CE marking.

How long does certification take?

It depends on the product, the module and how complete your technical file is. Our pre-assessment step shows gaps early so the formal evaluation runs without delays.

What is the difference between a test report and a certificate?

A test report shows that one sample met a standard on one day. A certificate also covers the design or production system and is maintained through surveillance.

Can you help if my product is under LVD or the Machinery Directive?

Yes. These are usually self-declared by the manufacturer, and METCAB supports you with technical file review, risk assessment guidance and voluntary certification.
